This Blue Stone pendant is a part of the Landscape range inspired by specially sourced stones.

The stones in this range have been individually selected due to their aesthetic which reflects a landscape vista.
Each stone is completely unique and another will never be found exactly the same.

Blue stone is the name given to ‘Preseli Spotted Dolerite’, a beautiful tonal mineral known best for its use in the large standing stones in Stonehenge.
The stone has a wonderful mix of white, greens, blues and grays.

I was inspired to make this necklace from The story of the ‘Amesbury Archer.’
When I sourced this gorgeous ‘Blue stone’ I knew I wanted to make something extra special due to the reverence of the stone.
I had an extraordinary experience visiting the inner circle of stonehenge to view the sunrise 2011. The beautiful singing and rituals I witnessed were totally unexpected an made the experience even more magical.
The Amesbury archer was buried in very close proximity to the henge. His grave was unusual due to the large amount of artifacts alongside him, not common practice for the Bronze age.
Many believe he could’ve been one of the earliest metal workers in the country, because of smelting articles found in the burial chamber.

The stone is bezel set into Sterling silver, then soldered onto the hand forged arrowhead shape. The reverse has a simple hand cut out arrowhead shape covered in a hand engraved texture. The front of the pendant has hand engraved patterns, reminiscent of the marks and shapes found on ancient flint arrowheads.

Available on a sterling silver snake style chain at 1.6mm thick.

The chain fastens with a very secure and soldered ‘Lobster’ style clasp, so you can feel reassured of the security whilst wearing your necklace.

Dimensions;
4cm from top to point
23mm wide
The stone measures 15/25mm
